YM2000 hard starting cold

I got the oil leak fixed with some RTV. I hooked the rototiller back up to it and tested it out. It runs great! More power than it's ever had. Rototilled three gardens. This tractor should outlast me now.

Great! Should fire right up now with only a minimum of turning over. I知 not sure what the difference is between the 2000 engine and the 2210 is but I can tell you itç—´ surprising how much power my 2210D has. Youæ±*e going to really enjoy having it. Maybe you said earlier but what rototiller is that? Looks like a good fit for your 2000.

Those are nearly the same engine, with identical displacement and mostly interchangeable parts.

Some math: 21.7hp @ 2600 x 2400/2600 = 20.030 hp @ 2400 rpm.

Looks to me they increased the rated hp due to Yanmar upgraded the cooling or something else minor to allow wide open throttle at higher rpm. Maybe they just discovered that higher rpm didn't hurt these indestructible engines.


YM2210D is heavier by a few hundred lbs and Powershift makes it far better getting a heavy load moving. I wish I could find one.

I looked for one for quite a while and finally found the one I bought a six hour drive away. I’m glad I went and glad I bought it. It is a nice compliment to my Mahindra 1538. They are a sturdy built tractor in a small package. Definitely like the Powershift. I rarely run it at wide open throttle. It chugs along nice at 2000 rpm and certainly doesn’t run out of power.

Maybe you said earlier but what rototiller is that? Looks like a good fit for your 2000.

California I can honestly say that when I was looking for my first Yanmar I knew I wanted a 2 cylinder and the 2210d was my first choice. This thing is a solid tractor and has plenty of power running my 5.5ft tiller and my 5.5ft snow blower, and the Powershift makes it so much nicer too. The only thing I would change on mine is to have the loader set up as a quick attach loader, or have the money to buy two of them, one with a loader and one without, and leave turf tires on one of them, only because I love the **** thing so much :tractor:
