ym165 transmission dipstick

my father in law got that tractor and im checking it out before i deliver it to him, put a new seat on, grease ect. i looked in the book and saw where the dipstick was for the transmission but i cant get it out, i looked down the fill port and i cant see oil but from what i can tell it doubles as a hydrolic resavoir and the hydrolics work so there has to be oil down there. does this dipstick unscrew? or is it just a pushin like the oil dipstick?

It just pulls straight out.

yeah.........maybe if i hook a chain to it and use the fel on my tractor..lol
if you look down the fill port should you see oil? does it double as a hydrolic resevoir? will chevron machine oil aw / iso 100 work in there?

Is it stuck or just hard to get to? Maybe you could tie something around it to give you some extra leverage if that is possible being where it's at. I feel like I need smaller hands to get hold of some of the things on my tractor.

Does Chevron AW/ISO 100 meet JD 303 specifications?
