OK folks . It's too late now , but would like your humble opinions on my purchace . YM155D with loader. I know it's a small 2cylinder tractor but fine for my use . Also comes with Yanmar hydraulic angle front "snow" blade and mounting brackets . 365 hours. This one is red (what year?) Paid $3660.
Good or bad .Let me have it , I can take it . /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The price sounds really good but it depends mostly on your local market. The 155D was manufactured between about 77 and 81. The closer to 60000 the serial number is the newer it is. Try looking at the date code stamped into most of the rear wheels for an exact date (asuming the wheels are factory). The 155D has a bad reputation for front end problems- especially with a loader /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif . Most of the stories I have heard were from customers that were, admittedly, hauling "more than I should have been".

Keep lots of lube in the front end and realize that your tractor has serious limitations as far as the weight you can hold in the bucket (100 to 150 lbs?)- especially on rough ground.

Do NOT use the 4wd on surfaces where there is good traction (asphalt, etc).

Keep plenty of lube in the steering gear box. They are quite expensive and, currently, a little hard to get.

I have seen plenty of those tractors with several thousand hours on them that have had no problems at all. Just use you head and you shouldn't have any problems.

Hope this helps,
Aaron
