Does anyone know about a YM-150D. I have seen 1500D, but not 150D.
What is the value? HP? Is the 3ph a cat I or cat 2?

I found one in the paper for $3700. Seems high to me, but it is a clean tractor, everything seemed to work when I messed with it today. The owner claims it is 21HP, but I doubt it.

If I can find out more about it, and if I can get parts I'd probably buy it.

You first need to find out what it really is, (155D?).

Well, that is the problem isn't it? The sheetmetal says 150D, but after six hours of searching the internet I have found one or two refs to that model, and neither was clear.

My first new tractor was a red Yanmar 180-D. That would be 18 h.p. Bought after borrowing my neighbor's 155-D (15 h.p., hydrostatic xmission). Both had a front-end loader which was my first experience with this equippment. Mine was a 4whl drive 3 cyl diesel. It was a very light weight tractor but could be hauled on a 4 place snowmobile trailer with the loader, a 5 ft tiller and a 5 ft bush hog on-board. I ran a NH 479 field mower/conditioner and a baler with this tractor. Only MAJOR drawback was lack of 'live' power. Not for starting the equipment but for going down hills with the 9' mower. It was so light that the gravity plus rotary energy made it over-run once too many times. I actually sold it for more that I paid for it brand new. Traded it for a JD 1070 (4 cyl) WITH a 2 stage clutch. The 1070 is a yanmar engined machine. The 180-D was the best all around machine one could ever hope for, considering the price. All I would do different is chloride the tires for better snow traction (which I did on the 1070). The fellow I sold it to still has it after about 15 years and has never had a problem AT ALL with it. Only changed the radiator fluid. This one was red, there are green ones from japan and some orange ones around from that era.

I have some pix around here somewhere of it and some great video of me hay-mowing and baling with it. The equippment was so much bigger than the tractor that you can hardly see it except for the white wheels.

Try the chassis serial number.

Well, I am blind. (or it was dark, whichever excuse sounds better!) It is a YM1500D. And I bought it. I was able to talk him down some, but after some reading here tonight, I realize I really overpaid. It is too late now though.

I haven't had much time today to play with it, so I cannot talk much about that, but I am curious about a source for cheap suitcase weights that will fit it.

If your happy & I'am sure he is, Doesn't matter now if you over paid:eek: .Unless he has a return policy;)

Normally, any real tractor dealer will have suitcase weights. Expect to pay 1$ per pound.
