YM 1810D-YM1820D differences?

Hi, I was wandering if there might be someone that can tell me the differences between the 1810D and the 1820D(besides the weight). I am thinking about getting the translated manuals for the 1810D but am not sure how close of a match it would be for my 1820D. What exactly causes the weight difference?, and what other differences in features are there? Any and all info and help will be greatly appreciated.

One difference I know of is the shifter location. The 1810 had the shifter on the floor where the 1820 has the shifter situated on the console centered below the steering column.

I am assuming (probably in error) that you are referring to our translated YM1810 manual. If so, we also have the 1820, along with all of the other '20 series, translated know as well.

Just a comment on Hoye's translated manuals...they are great! I've bought a half dozen of them so far.

You are correct. I was browsing ya'lls web site and saw the link for the manuals. As there was only the 1810D listed, this sparked my curiousity as to the differences between the 2 models. Scince you have the 1820D manuals, I guess i dont need to worry about how close the 1810D is in comparison.
I hope no offense was taken, just trying to get the widest choice of opinions as there is quite a bit of knowledge lurkin in the gray matter of the members here at TBN. I will be contacting ya'll soon about the manuals. (And maybe the decals, it would be really cool to get rid of the japanese alphabet soup on my yanmar)

The 1820 has a hydraulic filter on the side
I bought some of Hoyes manuals, they are wonderful & full of info. Well worth the money ! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
