ym 1500 alternator upgrade

I'm thinking of doing this to my older Jaguar and eliminating the Lucas voltage regulator, but how do you turn off the alt light with one of these one wire alternators?

That is the same problem I had with my old Satoh Buck. Never did cure it, just live with it. The charge, oil and temp light stayed on. Had to get a new alternator a year or two ago. Just loaded the whole tractor up and left the trailer at the alt/starter shop. They put something on there that may be comparable. None of the lights work now but it does crank and run. I have a voltmeter and oil gauge on mine that my brother installed. I keep an eye on the overflow pipe for the temp.

I'm not sure how the connections for a lamp or volt meter are made. The 1 wire alternator does have additional posts at the rear the way I understand it. So I know Ammeter hook ups are simple and there just has to be a way to connect to the existing wire loom for dash lights/gauges. (I think?)
