Here's the grapple I built. Mostly a copy of ones already on here. It's made out of 2.5" x 3/8 flat bar and the square tubes are 2.5 x 1/4. The cylinder is a 1O" stroke. The tines have a 5" spacing and it's about 48" wide. The last picture is my high-tech way of figuring out what cylinder to get. I've never made anything that moves before. I was shooting for maximum opening size to handle brush which I need to tear out. I think it's about a 50" opening. I made it so the grapple jaw has a little overbite so I can use the teeth to back-rake when the lid is closed, theoretically... It's been too wet to use yet but hopefully it won't fall apart.

That's awesome! How long did it take you?

WAG 40 hours or so. I design as I go so if I made another one it'd only take a fraction.

Nice job, I especially like the safety stripes and the wide jaw.

Excellent job, having just finished building mine I can appreciate the amount of work that went into that. Another one would take less time, but it will still be longer than we think.

Cheers,
Dan
