I'm located in Durham. I can relate to your comments about the tyvek suit not sealing too well around the bee hood/netting. That was a concern as I went back and finished the job yesterday. By the way, one can of Ortho Commercial Wasp and Hornet killer made quick work of the nest I had found. I emptied the whole can in the hole, and while a few tried to fly out they quickly fell to the ground. I checked it later and there was no movement, so I guess I got them all.

Sounds like you did a pretty good job of testing it to!!
Even in my bee suit, I don't think I would have gone in a played with the yellow jacket hive. I bow to your gumption man!
Aw Gee, I had to find out if it worked or was just a false sense of security. Besides, it was fun!!!

I used to wear tyvek suits when I delivered oil to chemical plants and they can get pretty hot. My big concern as far as pest control was the seal and I knew that my constant twisting and turning would probably loosen duct tape or velcro. I wasn't too sure how the suit that I bought would accomplish this until it arrived and I figured it out. In hind sight I could have used this same system by sewing a zipper to attach the hood to the suit. The gloves are nothing special either, regular rubber gloves with the rip stop nylon sewed to the tops and elastic to hold them up on the forearms.
The yellow jackets that you were dealing with probably moved over here, I'll see if I can find some of their kind to send back.

Since July 4 I've been through Durham 5 times enroute to points west. Well I say I have, I run 98 to 70 bypass and hit I-85.
