We ran with Branson tractors Mahindra, Yanmars, Mitsubishis, Shibaura, Howse, Koyker ect...
We retired with a Mahindra, 2 Bransons and a Yanmar.
When we closed, we had every tractor sold, it was eerie not seeing any tractors here anymore
Im still a farmer.

I never knew you were a dealer. Very cool. You've got some history under your belt for sure.

History. It's all still there. Take a walk back in time when life was easier and happier.

Thank you for sharing that, I'm about to do some browsing. 🍻
They are all out there, Hoye, RCO, LMTC, Big-Little Tractors, Coldwater, EFC, Jim Tractors, LCI, Malary, NCW, South Circle, UTDA, VDO-MX, Tractor-Co, Tractor Joe, etc. You only need hints to find their sites from long ago.

For anyone new to these classic Yanmars: The basic history here is that Japan tax law strongly supports trading in farm equipment that is still suitable for continued use.

The US industry of clean Japan imports and VN refurb factories grew. A flood of Yanmars appeared on Ebay etc. But Yanmar's US branch sold only US-version Yanmars and never acknowledged these other imports as legitimate.

Then the widow of an American who rolled his import, and died, sued Yanmar-USA. Yanmar-USA then sued all the importers and shut them down. (One importer had a prior arrangement and remains in business).

Then Yanmar left the US for years, but continued to build John Deere's under-50 hp tractors. Later Yanmar returned to the US but the modern dealers are selling modern tractors, they tend to ignore the prior models.

Even the legitimate US version Yanmars originally sold here, are now pretty much orphans.

Thankfully Yanmar designed for simplicity and used industry-standard bearings etc. Plus NAPA-quality replica parts remain available. So support continues, similar to timeless VW's Jeeps, Ford 8N's etc.

There's lots more detail but that's the general outline.
