Just came across this not to far from #1 son advertised at $325. Looks to be the same Yanmar....Condition unknown, any thoughts.....

It's after the Tree Frog tiller era. Looks very worn and beaten. That back flap is totally caved in. Not sure what other damage is in there. For $300 something, it's a parts machine.

That's Yanmar Leisure Suit Green under the repaint using Pepto Bismol Pink. The RS-something decal seems intact.

Those are near indestructible, I wouldn't be afraid of it if the tines are intact. The dent means nothing.

And it seems to have the variable-width 'training wheels' so it might be suitable for hilling.

If you (or a friend) have the welding skill to add 3-point attachment points on it, and considering what a new one costs, it is worth what he's asking.

Can design, fab and weld in my shop no problem. Just wanted to confirm it's the real thing, any idea which model ? Waiting on a reply to see if she spins freely.

Looks to be a chain drive (skinny gear case) and maybe two sizes wider than my RS-1400 (1400mm tilled width, 53 inches).
I think there is a serial number stamped by the center gear case and the prefix would be the model. Or that big decal might be legible. The top row of text will say which model.

Thanks. In metric it's 1200mm (aka 48-inches.)

Glad you can sheet metal bend and weld. That tiller is to do this when working.

So lets see what fits a Yanmar tiller of 1200mm wide

The largest width YM tiller model is the RC1704. It fits the YM2310.

I just kept poking around the web, and it took me back to a posting on TBN that you replied to years ago. LOL

The match up looks to be a RC1201
