Price Check Yanmar 336 pricing

Looking at a 1991 Yanmar 336 with loader and backhoe, listed with 380 hours, for $13,500. Anyone know much about these as far as reliability goes? Any thoughts on the price? Thanks so much...

If the seller is telling you it's a 1991 they are already showing either their ignorance or....well, you know. Caveat emptor.

according to this book I have Compact Tractor Guide they list the 336 and the 336d as being MFRD in the years 1981-1993,they also list both models as having ROPS.they list prices for just the tractor at retall for a 1991 high $4731.00 to low$3548.00,2wd.for the 4wd its a high of $5019.00 to a low of $3764.00 Have you checked this machine out in person?

Wow, I need to do some checking. Your reference would indicate I have bad information, and I don't like that at all. I'll check some other sources before issuing an apology, but if it is due, I'll do it. I was under the very firm understanding that Yanmar stopped marketing here in '88.

Ok, did that checking while writing this post, and while my business sources still say 88, I found some other online sources stating up to 91, so I apologize for my earlier post.

We did look at it in person today, and our mechanic agreed that the pricing was high, but another local farmer did buy the same tractor for $10,000 without the backhoe. Guess he's not a very motivated seller, but this one has about everything we need, with less than 400 hours and relatively minimal work that needs to be done -- now, although I'm not sure any filters have been changed -- ever. But no ROPS.

farmermama, filling out just a little of your profile would be a great help, you may be within miles of a UTDA dealer or may be a journey away. Even a journey away a UTDA tractor is very hard to beat, may or may not cost a little more but way easier to sleep at night.
