Hi for all of you,

I’ve got a Yanmar 3110D and would like to know how the gear box work since it seems it comes with two gear box. One is automatic (N -> 1 -> 2 -> 3) and the other come with C -> 1-> 2 -> 3 -> 4. How to work with this gear?

One is a range selector, and the second is the gear selector within the selected range. The one with the regular gear shift is the range, and requires use of the clutch to shift. The other with the push button is the gears within that range. It can be changed without the clutch. There should also be a "R" before the N-1-2-3. This xmission can be shifted directly from forward to reverse. I don't recommend it unless going very slow, but it is great for loader work.

Hi,

So what is "C" for? If I use , for instance, on range selector "3", which gear can I use for speed?

Another thing: Why did you say "great for loader work"?

Sorry for all this question but I would like to understand how this works!

It is good for loader work because you are typically doing repetitive forward/reverse shifting. The ol' clutch mashing leg gets tired after a while. With the powershift you dont need the clutch. Creep is V E R Y slow and is great for tilling. On some tractors it is hard to tell if the tractor is actually moving.

As Aaron said "C" is for creep. All the gears will work as in the other ranges. Just slow, slower, slowest etc.

Hi,

I know it could be boring, but if I want to movie on the road with relative speed, which gear do I must use? What I understanding the reverse and forward is made by the automatic gear (R, N, 1,2,3,)!

Jose, 3rd gear in range 4 should give you road speed (top speed) and dont think you wolud want to use any implements at / in that range. BTW How did you make out with the FEL measurements? Mark

Hi Mark,

Tnx for all your support. Regarding FEL I didn't yet. I’m looking all pictures I can get on Internet before I decide to make my self one. Will be hard job because I can’t get any plans and using only picture will be complicate.
