Can anyone help? When I connect my battery to the terminals the dash lights come on with the key in the off position, when I start the engine they turn of.
Another problem I have is when I turn the key the starter just clicks but won't turn the engine over, the only way to start it is by putting a screw driver across the terminals on the solenoid, I have put a brand new solenoid on it and that's not the problem?
Any help would be great
Cheers
Daniel

I would pull off the front dash and inspect the ignition switch. A wire or two may be broken/missing/shorting out. The switch may be broken or severely worn out. I would definitely look to the switch/wires at the switch as the culprit. If that's the problem, just order a new one and replace.

Most guys just start by replacing the keyswitch.
