how do you get the 1720d in to the creeper range

Mine had a about a 1 1/4" screw to the right of the shifter lever. I had to
unscrew it, and remove it, then it allowed me to push it further forward
into creeper range.

The directions above for the 336 are not the same as the 1720

i am confused isnt the shifter on the right side of the trans, did you remove it and leave it out or plug it? or only take it out if you need it? i am not sure why i would need it but if its got it i have to know how to use it if not it will drive me crazy

is the bolt on top of trany or on the side, i am assuming right side is like you are sitting on the tractor operating it,

The selector is on the right hand side, and yes that screw in bolt is
on the side on the right. Basically, if you push the selector forward you will hit the screw, remove it, and it will allow you to go into creeeper.

People use creeper it for tilling. I never used mine.
I don't have the 1720 anymore, ended up getting a 226d with a loader, the 1720 was in much better shape, but the 226 had the loader, and I didnt feel like switching them. In addition I noticed the frame on the 226 is thicker than the 1720, since I am using the loader, I thought the thicker steel the better.
