Looks more like an oil drain to me.

Jeez... good luck with that, based on the information given! Maybe a zoom out on the area where that photo was taken? The YM146 isn't exactly the most common tractor here, today.

Anyone remember when magazines used to post extreme close-up images of common daily objects, to see if readers could guess their origin?

The Ym1100 is the closest. Inj.pump & fuel should be the same. YM1100, 2Cyl. 3.26L. 14Hp.. The YM146 2Cyl. 3.8L 14Hp.
Limited for sure and I believe the Inj. Pump IP-200 should be correct. YM1100-1500 2Cyl. use it also. ?

Need more detail about the picture. Have you looked this parts manual over? https://www.tractorforum.com/thread...142-ym146-parts-manual-0ct10-m21500_en.66164/

These pages are not for that exact engine but they should help describe what that limiter screw does. Keep careful track of how much you turn it so you can go back to where you started if things don't work the way you wanted. I have seen people tinker with that governor and then never be able to get the engine to run right again.

Another good method if there is room, place a steel scale in millimeters from the base surface to the bottom of the nut. Record the spacing value. Then you can return to the same position as before. If you are really picky, a vernier caliper can be used for being spot on.
