I didn't even know my X595 had a float position. Can you tell me how it works? On my B26, when lowering the bucket, you just push the lever a bit further until it clicks into position. I tried that with my X595, but it didn't work. I just assumed it didn't have that option. Thanks

It's only on the bottom lever.... Just push it forward until it "clicks" into detent. If you look at the valves themselves, you will notice that one has a longer cap on one end.... That houses the detent balls and springs. If you've never used it before, it may be sticky.

Thanks so much, can't wait to try it out.

Yup, you were right. Tough at first, just as you said from never being used, but seems ok now. Thanks again

that float mechanism can be prone to be troublesome. if yours is working after not being used all this time, i think
you made out great!

What exactly do you mean by "troublesome"? Is it that its hard to get into position, or do you mean that when in position, it doesn't float as supposed to?

I think what he means is that sometimes the detent balls and springs get sticky and it won't stay in the float position. It happened to mine. There was a thread here a couple weeks back where we were talking about it.
