X748SE Quick Hitch installation

Is this easy enough for one to do on there own, or is the install best left to the dealer? Quick Hitch with the 54'' snow blade.

It is very easy, although a little heavy. If it is a new set-up, possibly have the dealer put it on to show you how and then the next time you won't have any problems. It should only take the mechanic 10 minutes.

More or less, me and my local dealer don't see eye to eye at all. There prices are very overinflated and they throw in all kinds of small miscellaneous charges on your order to add a couple thousand bananas to the bill for there benefit, including setup fees charged for every individual implement you buy, they even charge setup fees for a 17P poly cart!

Needless to say, I am purchasing from the neighboring province east of me, 12 hours away. I may end up buying the Quick Hitch for cash and installing it at a later time, that's why I was wondering.

I see. I really don't think you will have a problem. Everything is fairly self-explanatory. There may even be a video on YouTube. The directions with the unit should be pretty well laid out. Good luck with it.

No special tools are required to install the pto, 3PH and front quick hitch. Just takes a little more time for the 3PH, the other two are quick jobs.

JD, if you have any mechanical inclination, you'll be fine to do the install yourself.

I just checked and there are several videos on You Tube. Speedco, John Deere; etc. Just type in "Installing a Quick Hitch" in the search - question line, and you will be in business. Good Luck.

That's for a rear mounted 3 PT setup, I am talking about the front Quick Hitch for the blade, snow blower, power broom, that stuff.
