I just finished taking down two huge junipers and some huge box woods and was left with a even larger pile of brush to move a few hundred feet - which was a total pain. Seeing as though moving brush piles around is something I do quite frequently, I was thinking forks for my x728 FEL would be the way to go, I looking at the payne forks and the payne debris forks both of which look decent, I was wonder if anyone with an X series tractor has forks on their loader and which one did you end up getting, and did it work out as well as you hoped?

Thanks,

Mike

I have heard of a lot of people using the forks to handle trees and brush, the negatives of this method are you may still have to use a chain to secure the load, and safety issues depending on how far you need to travel with the load. If you wouldn't use the pallet forks for pallets, you may want to consider an attachment that is specifically designed for handling brush and trees. This is just like adding fingers on the end of your loader arms, really slick. Completely eliminates the need for chains and the load is real secure even if it is lopsided. Have you heard of anyone installing one of these on an x series tractor with the 45 loader?

We have fit similar models, we just need a few dimensions off your loader (i.e. cylinder stroke and arm end dimensions) to verify the fit. It is a pretty universal fitting attachment, and resonable in price since they don't require hydraulics to open and close. (i.e. units start at around $825 for a set of 2)
The Time and Temper these units will save you are truly amazing.
