X595

One more note...
As Baron2210 said... "<font color="purple">The 595 is probably the nicest mowing machine in its class.</font>" You will never be happier on the X595 for mowing /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. But for a Front End Loader, you may want to move on to the 2210.

As for attachments...
<font color="green"> The X595 comes as a basic unit. </font>
Then you add on the:
<font color="green">Loader (FEL)
Mid Mount Mower (MMM)
Three Point Hitch</font>
and so on....

So you may ask your deal for just the X595. Then buy attachments as you need them /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
If you get the 2210, then by 2 attachments at the same time and you get $300.00 off /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There is no reason to compare a lawn mower to a tractor. The X595 is a lawn mower while the 2210 is a tractor albeit a small one.

I've had a x585 for over a year (150hrs) and it has been a great workhorse. It was my first large mower/tractor purchase. With the 62C deck I mow almost 2 acres in under 1.5 hours. Also have the FEL and find new uses (and projects!) for it almost every weekend. The most ambitious project was to excavate (3ft down) then level a sloping area behind the house and haul field stone and blue stone for a large patio. Moving loose landscape material and rearranging garden beds is a piece of cake- and it's small enough that it doesn't damage the existing lawn. I live in Vermont and it plows and grades 700ft of gravel driveway wihout a problem. It's done everything I've asked of it without hesitation. As for the price; 30% off list for the 585 and 62C combo - it was my dealers demo unit and had 20hrs on it.

Having sung it's praises I may have to move up to a bigger machine. I need a small backhoe (which the X series can't handle) for an extensive barn renovation project and contractor quotes are looking scary - I could buy that sweet 4110 on my dealers lot instead! Bottom line for me is that if I didn't have the backhoe issue the 585 would probably keep me happy for a long time.

Save yourself some $$$ and go rent a backhoe. Even if it costs you $1200 to rent one for a week it'll still be cheaper than the soaking you get when you try to trade. Especially, if that's the only project you really need one for. The backhoe on a 4115 isn't big enough to do any serious digging. Good luck.

Yes there is a discussion on this same topic in one of the forums.

As much I as like JD, I feel they are over priced.

I had a JD 455 and sold it. Father also had a 425. When I sold my 455 I was going to buy a x595 with a 54” mover, 3PT, loader and rear PTO. Then came the good part, I was in sticker shock! Then looked at the Kubota BX22 when 90% is standard, that is the key, on the BX. Nevermind the BH. It was like $14.5K without a loader and BH on the JD. As much as I like JD I switched and have not ever looked back.

Too bad the 2210 wasn't around when you were looking. That's where I went after my 445. It was a better deal and dealer than the BX, but that can vary from town to town.
