X590 break in period

Just purchased a new X590. Is there a break-in period for these tractors? If so, when should the first oil change take place? Thank-you in advance.

Congrats on the new tractor. It looks like the EFI engines still ask for a 8 hour break in oil change. You will find a maintenance decal under the hood as well as a maintenance recommendation section in the Deere owner's manual. FYI: Most manufacturer's want you to vary engine rpms often during break in period.

Ok. Thank-you for the info. I asked because the Operator's Manual does not explain this. Under Service Intervals, the mention changing the transaxle oil & filter after 50 hours, but no mention of the engine oil. However, to your credit, tomplum, the online manual does indeed mention changing the engine oil & filter after 8 hours for proper break-in.

CobyRuipert, I can't find anything about varying the engine rpm's during the break in period. However, like most gasoline engines, varying the engine's rpm's is recommended. If you find anything on this please let me know. I already mowed once with it. Put around 1.2 hours on it.
