Not mine, I'm childless, which is probably a good thing being divorced.... /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

My neighbor's daughter just came over and wanted to know if I would take delivery of her father's Fathers Day present in the next day or two. Sure, I said.
She bought her father a quad! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

His brother usually has one of his over there, but took possesion of them all last week, so he borrowed a friend's when he saw that I just got one. We had a real nice putt yesterday.
Anyway, he's been talking about getting one and I know he's been looking at them online, so here his daughter picks up on that and goes and buys him one. On her own even. I'm not really sure how his wife feels about him getting one, but I'll find out /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Nice daughter. He's a lucky man.

rox,
( I wonder what kind she bought him?)
My guess if she picked up on him wanting one then most likely it'll be exactly what he talked about.
Pretty good daughter indeed. He is a lucky man.

I saw the owner's manual she was holding and I know it's a Suzuki. The letters didn't ring a bell, but I wasn't looking at Suzukis very hard when I bought mine.
I'm sure whichever model it is won't affect the look he's gonna have on his face.

I'll have to see how she wants to play this. If she wants to leave it here or have me roll it over there early Sunday morning.
I can bet her dad and I will be doing some riding this coming Sunday, too. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I sure hope it is the brand and model that he wants, as otherwise 'ol Dad might not be a happy camper. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I have four great kids, and 6 grand kids, and they are my continual gift. All are great, and they know bettern' than to try to please me with material things. I don't deserve them, you betcha. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I know where you're coming from. Everything from my son putting a little extra effort into something because he like all sons, wants to please his father. Or walking into the kitchen and my youngest grandson who doesn't talk much looking up and saying "grandpa".

I like watching the kids and their spouses cuddle up a little in the living room when we're watching the grandkids play. It's a confirmation that I'm right with my world when my kids get closer with their loved in our presence.

Life really is good. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was thinking the same thing /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
A gift is a gift and if this is what she wants to get her father for Father's Day, so be it. He put her through school. She's "doin' alright" now. Paybacks aren't always a b#### /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

They dropped it off today. It's an Ozark, 250cc's, which seemed really small until I drove it around back. Probably not a lot of torque, but it gets up and moves, that's for sure /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I looked it up on the web and it's reviews are pretty high, too. Supposed to be really good in mud.

So, maybe not the make and model he would have boughten for himself, but then, he didn't buy one for himself.... I think he's gonna be a pretty happy camper.... I mean four wheeler /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I try to discourage our daughters from spending money on us; figure they need it more than we do. But in '97 we bought a new double wide mobile home that came with a GE dishwasher. That dishwasher sprung a leak after a couple of years and, and after pulling it out and finding the leak, I learned that the pump and motor are only sold as a unit; couldn't replace just the leaking pump. So I told my wife, we'd just go to town and buy a new Kenmore. But the next morning, our two daughters showed up with a new Maytag dishwasher in the back of one's Tahoe. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
