that's me too, everything that gets broken, is operator error, that's me!
but since I have been running equipment and knowing my wallet is paying for it, I haven't been breaking things like I used too. Thank God for that.:thumbsup:

I've abused a 1547 for the past 4 years until there isn't a straight piece of sheetmetal left on it and it still runs like a champ.

Bought a new 1040 in 1986. No problems except replace battey 2 times so far. It was built tougher than a kubota and JD then is the reason I bought it. Still is. Yes i still like it.

Without question. The things I've done and how forgiving it's been on a first time tractor owner expecting it to move heaven and earth, and it did it all. Have done typical maintenance to it but no major component failures in going on 12 years, on a 43 year old tractor. What's not to love. :thumbsup:

I have a 2001 John Deere 4400 hydro and loader and love that tractor.
I recently bought a Massey 1652 cab Hydro. Very nice machine and new and very stiff yet. New tractor smell is great!! I haven't had to time or projects to work it like I did the Deere. Winter is coming and suppose to get alot of snow.
I picked up a 3 pt snow blower so we shall see.
I will let you know how hard it works after I break it in.

I bought a 1533 with a FEL in 2007 as well. The left stub axle nut came off allowing the axle to slide out part way. The dealer got me all the parts and fluid I needed for free. (It was out of warranty) I put red loctite on it when I reassembled. Other than that, no regrets. The brakes are a bit weak is the only down side. :thumbsup:
