Would a Root Rake Grapple be best?

/ Would a Root Rake Grapple be best? #12
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but had a relative question. We're getting a new tractor. Pretty much settled on a new Mahindra 3016 with appropriate hydraulics to run a root grapple. We've got a coupla acres to clear of a bunch of scrubby undergrowth. Mostly stuff in the 1-3" range in sandy soil. I've read a few of the threads about using the root grapple to get this done. Seems like I saw guys with smaller grapples and small-ish tractors gettin this done. One of the dealers I was checking into said that in no way should a front end loader be used like this. Don't know what to believe.
Anyways, seems like most guys were recommending the WildKat E-series root grapple.
My questions are. Is the 28HP Mahindra enough tractor to get that done. And does the Wildkat 48" E series grapple still the most bang for the buck? I'm only a coupla hours from them and that would be very handy.
Thanks in advance for any helpful info. d:^) Schneeks..
