Work or Play

In a computer related thread (was going to reply in that thread, but it seemed way too off track) another member [in a computer related field] posted:

I can sure understand that, so please don't take my strange tangent as an insult, but for some reason it made me wonder:

When tractor dealers or proffesional dirt movers and similar proffesionals post here, is it work or play? Maybe play while at work?! Don't know just had to wonder? /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Im a professional dirt mover and when I post here its usually a combination of work and play. I like to try to inform folks that are having work done or are doing something thierselves. I like to help teach others in my spare timelol.

I am an IT professional. Getut "the poster" I think you are referring to has some valid points. Computers and technology in general are becoming more important in our everyday lives.

Does it really matter to TBN? Yes, witness the "liger" thread - copyright material. Handled accordingly and properly.

There is a fine line between "work" and "play".

I think is your point; being an IT guy it makes perfect sense you'd be referencing those two threads.

I was confused for a second because I wasn't intending to question the content of those or any threads (you are right it was getut's thread, though I pulled the statement from PBinWA's post). Actually, I only referenced the computer thread to prove that there was some weird reason such a question popped into my head - other than idle thinking or something. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Somehow the statement just made me wonder litterally whether "tractor professionals" consider this site work or play? Irronically, I don't fit that catagory and haven't made a post yet that hasn't been fun [do regret one, just because it was possible to read it much stronger than I intended....the whole thread later got zapped anyway]; however, every so often I write one and realize: if this had been at work I would have considered it work! Go figure.....just wondering [actually everyone and especially the "tractor professionals"] if I was weird that way or which side everyone else fell on. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
