Work Lights

Good comments. I should have just started with a 20A fuse, some 10 gauge wire and a switch for each light. If I install a new fuse and line to run the front facing work lights, where is the best place to get power from. Battery, starter, other?

IMHO the battery is the best place. I ran a 10awg from the battery, through a 30amp circuit breaker, then to a 30amp relay. The relay coil is fed from a fuse that hot when the key is ON so no added accessories can drain the battery when the key is OFF.

If you still have specific question, you should start a new thread rather than resurrecting a year old one...

I agree with KennyD, as he helped me with mine. I went from the battery to a 30amp fuse to a relay with 12ga, From relay to aux fuse panel using 12ga. Relay coil fed using fuse tap into original fuse panel (per KennyD's advise). Now I have that aux fuse panel to use for all kinds of things. (1) 10amp fuse for front lights, (1) 10amp fuse for rear lights, (1) 5amp fuse for grapple diverter.

Now SkunkWerks and I can sleep at night knowing my battery isn't being drained by leaving switch on!!! (joke from http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/customization/94277-grapple-design-11.html

DTD , I been sleeping like a baby since then! :D

My fuse panel on the Kubota is only using about half of the slots, if that. The others are open, but, I'd have to install and wire the individual fuse connectors inside the slots. I'm considering it, so when I install my lights all my fuses will be in the factory fuse panel. Not to mention the BX2350, while well designed, doesn't have a lot of spare room under the dash/hood.

How's the grapple doing? did I miss something? I've been busy with the Guage wheels and tiller, I've lost touch with some of the other projects that were going on.
