First this a great website for information and problems. My question when I bought my bx24, I asked the dealer about some work lights for rear of tractor and a bigger alternater. He said kubota did not show one for bx24 but it did for bx23. Will I be alright with this? I thought the kubota lights might be more durable.

RiverHunter,

Welcome to TBN.

I have the Kubota light and use another magnetic worklight. The Kubota light is not so powerful, has a spot pattern but is a very cool shade of orange. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I find the magnetic light more useful and BRIGHTER.

There are hundreds of posts on ROPS lights here. Use the search function. Here is the latest thread along those lines.

Congrats on the BX24,

*That's because the BX24 comes standard with the alternater that is an upgrade option on the BX23.

FUNCTIONAL Lights that dont fall off like magnets do.
=====
I'd rather see them get knocked off than be destroyed ripping them off.

Several guys on here have used magnets - haven't heard any complaints about them just falling off.

You can quickly/easly remove magnetically attached lights when working in tight close areas. Try that with bolt ons or weld ons.
If they ain't on they can't come off.

If you click on my name and ,go to show all users posts,you will find the thread,on my work lights.if i can be of any help,just ask.No drilling or welding the ROPS,on this design.It isnt that im afraid of warrenty issues or rops failure,its resale.I dont need someone sueing me cause of something i did to this tractor,when i could have avoided it.AS IS WHERE IS dont fly these days,of money hungry people,and lawyers.HAVE FUN

Filling out the financing paperwork at this very moment. Just paid off my car today so I'm off to another type of installment payment.

I totally agree. Like I said, I have a magnetic light and a clamp-on Kubota light. I am working around a lot of dense brush here. The clamp-on light definitely gets into more trouble. Anything I snag that is strong enough to pull the magnet mount off is strong enough to crush a fixed light or at least tear-up the wiring.

I was skeptical when I tried it, but magnets work great. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
