Woodsplitter Question

   / Woodsplitter Question #21
That's about what I was thinking about for mine. The basic operation is that the factoryi wedge does the splitting and the knife just cuts the 'stringers'. I was working with my TroyBilt today and was very frustrated splitting green Spruce. Strings on every piece and anything taller than the factor wedge had to be turned over and run through again.

Sure wish I had had the money to buy a "wedge on beam" design. My old homebuilt one was that way and they are a far more ergonomic design (nothing in the operator's way like the running gear, splits are going away from the operator not right into the 'nads).
