Rent a tracked skid steer with a bush hog attachment, or go all out and rent one with a forestry mulcher. You will end up being money ahead. Amazing the damage you can do if you get hung up or hit a tree with one end while looking at the other on your tractor.

Does that make the tips any less useful? Have some of them been replaced with more modern versions of go slow and be careful?

Why even mention the thread is 10 years old unless you simply have nothing better to do than play forum cop? You a Grammar **** too?

I'm actively doing just what the OP described and am glad this got bumped back to the top. Good tips. Especially about doing it before things have a chance to get growing.
