Can anyone let me know which gear oil is best for an older Woods Brush Hog and also for a rear tine King Kutter tiller ? Thanks for your help.

The manual for my 22 year old Woods BrushBull 60 calls for 80 or 90 wt, GL 4 or GL 5 gear oil in the gearbox.

OK. Thanks All. I have 80-90 wt. I will use that.
Should make sure it's also a GL4 or GL5. Those grades can handle higher pressures and resist shear better than lower grades.

I use "Corn Head" or grease 0 it is all that I use in all my gear boxes old or new. An since most gear boxes do not have a drain so you can change/flush the lubricant for the most part it is a fill and forget deal unless there is a major failure.

Don't know about no corn picker cotton heads but down here we use full synthetic 75-145. Comes in a new limp squeeze tube now.

80-90 GL5 is what I use.
Ain’t never seen any cotton picker grease in a store around here but no one grows cotton around here either.
