My neighbor and I are investigating backhoes for our New Hollands, and I remembered the posting by Rick Wallace for the Woods BH80-X unit. We have both down loaded the photos of the unit in Kioti orange, and am comparing it to the NH units. The dealer we bought our tractors from is having a spring sale in a few weeks. We both received flyers, and are seriously considering all candidates. NHs, Bradco, Woods, and even the units we don't see very much. Rick had offered the Woods BH80-X units, and we were wondering if those prices were still good? What price increases had occured? We like the inproved design, a copy of the big CAT construction units. Scaled down for our smaller TC35, and TC48 tractors. Any input?, anyone bought one? Likes, dislikes? Digging ability?

Copied from a post of Rick's.

You should see the pricing around $5,900-$6,500.00 complete

If you have a need for the thumb make sure you order one now they are factory installed. You can install it in the field but you have to weld the brackets on yourself. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That must be Wallace's special TBN-only price. Grab it if you can. I have not seen the BH-80X yet, but it looks very interesting. My local Woods (and Kubota) dealer will be asking at least 9K. He was at $7500 for the GB7500 and sold a bunch of them. I expect the mechanical thumb option to be at least $500, and the hydraulic to be double that.

I just bought and had the BH80X installed on my Kubota L3010 for $6600. I wanted the four point sub frame, but it was not available for my tractor yet. The only thing I wished I would have got was the thumb. As powerstroke2000 noted, the brackets do not come welded on the backhoe and will have to be welded on in the field. The cost was $600 extra for the thumb.
