I just purchased a used wood stove for my family's camp. It is a warnock hersey (Canadian) stove. I believe the company is out of business. The stove appears to be in great shape, and rarely used.
I noticed inside the firebox some insulating material. It appears to be asbestos panels, which were then covered with firebrick. I was thinking of pulling the panels & replacing them with thicker firebrick.
Does anyone have any knowledge or thoughts on the matter? Thanks in advance!
