wood spliter power coupling

I have a 15-20 yr old Mighty Murc wood splitter. It is hard to make out the model # it looks like 27 or 2?7. the serial # is B3301. There is a doughnut-like piece of hard rubber that goes between the power output of the 8hp engine and the hydro pump. It has disintegrated. This happened about 6 years ago and the dealer gave me one to put in. Well the dealer is long gone and I can't find anyone that knows what I am talking about.

First, does anyone know what this part is called.
Second, Where can I get one?

Look at a Lovejoy coupling, in a hydraulics store. Maybe Northern Tool or Surplus Center.

Now that you mentioned the name 'Lovejoy' I remember that is what the dealer called it. The item at Northerntool is exactly what I need.
When I measure what size I need, do I use the space I see now between the drivers or is that a compressed space? Is there anything I should know before I take the housing apart to replace the insert?

I took the pump away from the engine. It looks like I should replace the entire coupling. The teeth on the drivers are all chipped or broken. I was able to loosen the set screw on the engine side, but I have twisted 3 allen wrenches trying to get the screw out of the pump side. I sprayed some Break Away on the set screw but it won't budge.
Should I try to drill it out?

I doubt if you'll be able to drill it out.....do you have a little grinder? If you do, (or a hacksaw, depending on how much room you have around the engine) cut a slot in the coupling and break it off, then replace the whole coupling. Or, just put a good gearpuller on the coupling and pull it off, then dress the shaft...........
