Thanks for the follow up. Glad it works. How do you Teflon? UHMW sheet is slick, cold tolerant and used in material handling.

You're welcome.
It would also cost $111 for my size bucket at 1/4" thick from a company that cuts UHMW to size..
5 bucks for the sheet metal and $8 for the spray and thank you for the plywood notion.

Melt candle stubs with some canning paraffin to lower the melting point. Buy a cheap 'undercoating' gun and spray it warm onto wood.

Caution, if any gets on your cargo it will be flammable :D, and just because it worked once doesn't mean all would have good results.

No space between wood and panels to trap moisture, it's water-repellent, and a large batch can be used up on other things. :2cents:

Well I finished it. Tried it out couple times.
Had to use sheet metal to cover plywood as wood wasn't sliding out as good as I wanted.
Then I tefloned the sheet metal and now it's good and slippery.

Screwed up the bar placement at first trying to slide through 4x4's. This created binding of the bucket enough to stop a full dump action.
Had to build brackets so as to create a more outer anchor point.

It holds about 3-5 days of wood depending on outside temps. 2.5 days if 30 or below. 30" wide by 48" long.

This was so simple it's stupid but it came together with ALL of your suggestions so thanks.

 Simple is better

I like it . . .

and to think it only took me 40 years to figure how to do it better. Cut my time in half for a wood load.
Too many wood chips on the brain I guess.
It did make me realize what else I've been a dumb *** about doing the same thing over and over and mindlessly repeating an action for years.
I have to stop and examine my other movements.

Well.... I stopped. Can't think of anything else.

I usually have a movement every morning :D.

For those that need something similar, but bigger, the side dump bucket: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=side+dump+skid+steer+bucket&t=ffsb&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images

arrow, It looks like it works well for you. Better yet, it also looks like a simple - fairly quick build. Good job and creative thinking. Sometimes it takes years of practice before one might realize there just might be simpler way to get the same results.

Thanks. The trick to realize when posting questions here is that the op will get a slew of varying opinions. I love that. It begins to get my own wheels churning inside my head and helps "solidify" concept as what happened here.
At first, I was going to build a moveable chute that somehow would sidle up to the bulkhead and i would dump on that with my 5' bucket. I then thought what a pain in the arse to have to keep moving the chute for my wood resupply every 3 or 4 days.
I then thought about making something out of steel as that what most "buckets " are made of.
With the compendium of ideas put forth from here, it all mushed together: Why would I have to use steel? What could I "funnel" with? How big does this thing really have to be? Plywood? Why not.
It's smallish, Carries just as much wood as my stacked bucket did. And I can just fling wood in instead of stacking it on the bucket and then unloading that by hand.
The result of all of this "heavy thinking":) is what you see.
