What I am seeing in the pics does not look like "lawn". Sorry.

Please then, find me a more appropriate word to describe an open, green area that surrounds a dwelling?

I suppose I could call it a field, but it's even less a field than it is a lawn.

Once its running again, put a volt meter on the battery and make sure its actually charging. That could be the wire coming from the regulator. Would explain why it starts and runs fine....but just not recharging the battery after its running, so once battery is dead it will no longer start
