Ok I gone and done it on my BX23. Between the mud, sticks and ? the wires for the rear lights/turn signals got a bit messed up along with my fuel gauge has stopped working. Ok pulled and ripped apart. I got the lights to work & turns but still no fuel gauge. Any help would be great.

Fuel gauge is reliable and easy to test (attached). If you don't get battery voltage, figure out which terminal is bad and chase that wire.

If gauge passes test, find the sender wire from tank level sensor under the dash. Wiring diagram says it is yellow and blue and goes to the 'S' terminal on gauge. With it disconnected from gauge, check for continuity to ground. Should be anywhere from 1 ohm (full tank) to 155 ohm (empty tank). If it shows open, the wire break is between your test point and the tank sensor (or the sensor is bad, which is a bit of surgery).

Good luck!
