Winter to do list

My big winter chore is cutting and splitting next year's firewood, before the weather gets so warm it becomes a hot and sweaty task.

Go someplace warm

I pretty much hibernate through January and February. This may sound a little demented but if the temperature gets above 40 and I can get out and work at the farm. I really enjoy that.

Above 40?! I wish. It was in the teens when I was out moving hay a few days ago.

But, to the topic at hand, I'm planning on (finally) turning the unfinished space above my garage into something useable.

Every winter change the fountain head to freeze prevention one. And every winter I am too late and have to canoe on the ice with a pick axe to do the swap

But on my list are lawn chairs, I have some maple I need to use up to make space and lawn chairs are always needed.

Also the tiller that die on me last summer - I have to finish transmission for it to make sure it works in spring.

2. seed catalogs
3. wood stove
4. cleaning the barn so that spring projects can begin
5. making spring/summer plans to get things done.
6. trimming apple trees
