Just wondering what others do for winter preparation. It's always been something I have to do in the fall and does take some time. For me the mowers come off and are stored in the pole barn. Poison put out in the pole barn to kill the mousies that eat my wiring and foam seats. I clean the tractor and mount the FEL and snow chains. Barn door tracks are cleaned out so that the doors don't freeze in winter. Batteries for the mowers are pulled and brought in to the garage for monthly charging. Fresh gas with Stabil for the generator to carry me through the winter. Snow stakes on both sides of my 800' driveway so I know where it is when it snows.

All I do, and not sure it really makes a difference, is add fuel stabilizers to anything gas or diesel. Our winters are generally mild compared to yours, so snow isn't really a thought for me.

fuel stabilizer in the gas, pump armor in the power washer and back pack sprayer, use the air compressor to blow out the water lines, all lawn furniture away and tarped, snow blower started, chicken coop cleaned and water heater for them pluged in.

Given where I live I do nothing. Got watch out a little more on the roads as the snow birds start to show up but that is hard to get ready for
