VTFireftr, this is a description of a Gimbal. :)

A gimbal is a pivoted support that allows the rotation of an object about a single axis. A set of two gimbals, one mounted on the other with pivot axes orthogonal, may be used to allow an object mounted on the innermost gimbal to remain immobile (e.g., vertical in the animation) regardless of the motion of its support. For example, gyroscopes, shipboard compasses, stoves and even drink holders typically use gimbals to keep them upright with respect to the horizon despite the ship's pitching and rolling.

That's what I was thinking. But I have never heard of anyone using the word gimbal to describe a light mounting bracket.

How's the weather over there BC?

I was out in West Vancouver in 1999. Magnificent scenery. Maybe some day I'll comeback for a visit.

Have a great weekend!

Finally got some photos of my light install. Note, I had to make my gimbles. Does anyone know a source for that kind of thing? I looked and looked but couldn't find them anywhere. Surprising, I'd think that kind of hardware would be common place.

Nice pictures. Thanks.

For the gimbals, call Susquehanna Motorsports (Susquehanna MotorSports - High Performance Vehicle Lighting and Competition Accessories) in PA. They probably have some old parts or returned lights they can scavage for you.

I've bought a few different sets of lights from them for my trucks.

I pick up the tractor tomorrow (Sunday). I probably won't install the lights for a few weeks. I'll post when I get them installed.

Have a great weekend!

Welcome to TBN Marc. You will love the CK30. Show us some pics once you get the lights on.

Just got the tractor Sunday. What a great machine. I was able to move lots of snow and do some roadwork.

I bought a "combo hitch" from omni-mfg.com and it made moveing my box trailer a breeze. If you have any trailers to move, this hitch is a must.

I probably won't get any lights mounted for another couple of weeks because I'm trying to get the motorcycles on the road for the year., and my work keeps me away from the house 4 nights a week.

I'll post pictures when after I have them mounted.

Have a great week!

Congrats Marc,
I hope everything went well. It sounds like you are already burning fuel and having fun. I hope Rob took good care of you.
We just got back from a bike ride, 79 degrees and very sunny.
We will come back to reality over this coming weekend.
Talk to you soon.

Dave,

Rob did an outstanding job and answered every question I had plus some.

As for the weather, I think it may be a few weeks beforte I get to ride my motorcycle.

Finally got a chance to mount the lights and take some pictures.
