..........because having two threads asking for the same information is a PITA.

I've posted this before.
Why don't you just post a link over to the thread where much of this information is already collected? Shouldn't we use computers to make our lives easier, rather than using them to post the same information in multiple places so it makes it even harder to collect all the data?

I have a CK 25 with a KL 130 fel. Serial # 51021034
Purchased 5/05/2006 and has 30 hours on tractor. Loader has not been used hard, more back hoe to this point.
No visable cracks to this point.
Thank You for your interest. I also sent Kioti a email a week ago to make sure in (my mind) they were aware of problem and I sent them my numbers also.

Maybe I am wrong but I think at the moment posting a URL just takes you to the thread. It took me quite a while of slogging through the 500+ posts in Highbeams thread to find my earlier post. It just seemed reasonable to cut and paste (and add a little more data).

Besides, at the time I originally posted I was under the impression that metal cracks in a torque tube might be serious (and might have seemed upset) but now I know they are just cosmetic so I'm just having a brewski and waiting for the botox to take effect.

Ed, go ahead and buy the Miller Passport welder. You know you want it. :D You won't regret it. Then you can 'inject' the Botox all by yourself when Kioti sends out your prescription for the cosmetic cracks in the torque tube.

I'm with Messick, I think it is inappropriate for one dealer to be trying to collect serial numbers on a website like this to try and establish a trend. The serial numbers are to be recorded by the dealer when the customer reports the breakage. The numbers then passed on to Kioti for a claim. They can choose to do with them as they wish.

Also, I don't really care if the failed loaders come from a bad batch. Not our problem. Kioti's fix should be based on making a weak design stronger. If they are already testing the fix then I would say that they are already past the "why did it happen" stage. I would NOT be getting a repair done to my crackedloader until the official fix comes out nomatter how many years of welding experience the welder has.

Let Kioti get the job done here, they are perfectly capable of helping themselves.

PS: I've done things that some have considered inappropriate too so good luck to you.

"I'm with Messick, I think it is inappropriate for one dealer to be trying to collect serial numbers on a website like this to try and establish a trend."

That is your (and the Kubota dealers) opinion.
If I want to provide information which I feel may aid in a better understanding of this problem, that is my perogative.

I also have yet to see a qualified engineer say that the design is weak. A lot of speculation, but no concrete proof. I have no cracks. Maybe, just maybe, the mfg had a bad batch of metal. These things happen.

I can already see that some owners (and other mfg dealers) are not going to trust, and find fault with, any repair/resolution Kioti comes up with.

When, and if, my loader cracks, I'll come on here to let everyone know. Immediately after I call Rick to see what he recommends.

Rant over.

My unofficial opinion after inspecting the area on my (uncracked) loader would be hazarding a guess at poor metal. It looked constructed well-I wouldn't opine that it appeared weak in that area-unless some were built different? Pure adulterated conjecture.
Hey, was I demoted to a platinum member???

"Hey, was I demoted to a platinum member???"

You were demoted for using that five cylinder word "adulterated" on the new form:)
