OK, Terry, smart-***** mode off for a while - were you referring to off-gassing, or the fact that they're too well insulated to give off much heat, or ?? (Sorry I didn't recognize your "serious" mode :D ) Steve

Oh. Haha. Sorry. Off-gassing. Don't know if it was just the initial heating the first day or??? Didn't figure there would be any health benefits from inhaling in a closed room, so I moved it to a more ventilated area. ---smart***mode on---

Back when I became certified as a welder the rod used was 7018 and coupons were overhead and vertical...

7018 was the rod for most of the jobs because of strength and ductility...
