Right. BTW, good luck with your studies. And I'll add my vote on the quality issue. I know that Japanese quality made a difference in my decision.

Mine's an M59 tractor/loader/backhoe rather than an Ag tractor. Kubota is the only company to make a new TLB in that size/weight range so there was less choice in new machinery than I would have liked. But these machines have a long service life, so the used market was in competition with the new.

As you know from your studies, most products require 2 to 4 years of R&D and production prototyping before going into production. Consider this:
The M59 TLB was designed as a middle to high end machine during the economic boom years of the the last decade...and then introduced to that market just in time to participate in the financial collapse of 2008.. Oops...

I'm sure the design and marketing teams felt dismay at the unfortunate economic timing, but it is a quality machine. Capable & reliable.
