Why four binders?

I have seen guys hauling doziers with nothing but the weigh of the dozier holding it on the trailer ... I have seen those doziers end up siding right off the side of the low boy! It's not a pretty sight! I also have seen decent size wheel tractors "tied down" with a pretty little red strap across the hood and another pretty little red strap across the middle of the tractor ... recently there was an 18 wheeler that lost the concrete pump truck he was hauling resulting in a 9 car pile up with two more 18 wheelers mixed up with all of this ... that one was I-75 ... All of this is about safety as many others have stated!

I found me a nice concrete saw laying in the middle of the road on a sharp turn on my way to work one morning. It still had the nylon strap on it which obviously wasn't secured good enough. I had one **** of a time getting that thing into the back of my truck by myself, but I managed. I don't think my buddies would have appriciated a phone call at 5 am to help me.

Did you return it to the rightful owner?

Way back when I did construction for a living - the boss' son lost a cement mixer off the back of the stake body he was driving - on the Wilson Bridge (D.C. Beltway). Luckily it wasn't during rush hour and nobody got hurt. But after that we were only allowed to mix mud with hoe and pan......

I asked around to my buddies who work construction if anybody knew who might have lost it and nobody knew. Whoever lost may have not wanted to claim it as theirs as they probably didn't know what damage it may have done to someone elses personal property when it went sailing of the truck/trailer.

I know if I lost something like that off my truck................... I'd want to be taught a lesson !!
