This has been spoken of before, I think the
B7400 and
B7500 are the modern versions of Kubota original 5000 (?) 6000(?) and 7000 series. The 2000 series which include the
B1700(defunct and very same engine as in the
BX2200),
B2100 (defunct),
B2400 (defunct),
B2410,
B2710 and
B2910 are called Deluxe tractors and are a different lineage so to speak from the 7400/7500. The new BX series which includes the
BX1800,
BX2200 and BX22TLB are yet another line within Kubota as are the L series lineup and so on.
The
B7500 rated at 21 horsepower has a larger engine displacement than the BX 2200, I think it is 61 cubes vs 55 cubes. The
B7500 is a sligtly larger and somehwat more powerful tractor more suited to heavy dirt engaging work than the BX while the BX is designed for the small property owner who wants a versatile machine that excells at mowing where that is the prime use. The 2410 (69 cubes) has a noticeable amount more grunt than the 7500 I "borrowed" as a test drive and considerably more grunt than the BX. The BX is still my baby though I have the 2410 the BX wins hands down in fun factor!! Cannot wait for warm weather to play.
