The branson 5220 almost has 50 at the PTO and weighs over 5k when rear tires are loaded. A buddy has one and it moves round bales without any issues. I think the loader capacity is 3600# it doesn't mess around, stout machine. if he put a ballast on the back it could handle it without any problems. They are beefy machines. I think the Kioti NX6010 has the HP but the branson has a larger lift capacity and really it's not even close.

ahhh gotcha, checking out this yanmar too It over 4K so might be a suitable thing for him, looks like there is a yanmar dealer within 60miles and kioti 50 and branson is 120 miles..........

he can look at the specs I cant do all the work LOL - and being a lady tractor.....im guessing regardless of specs it will be the better refined one she picks

The Yanmar YT359 has 52 PTO HP and has the iHMT transmission that痴 more efficient, easier to service, and just as easy to use as a HST. Just like driving a car. Very wife friendly.

How is the Yanmar iHMT transmission different from a power shuttle like Kubota or other makers use?

I’d describe it as an improved version of a shuttle with a very car-like feel to it.

The Integrated Hydro-Mechanical Transmission (iHMT) offers continuously variable speed just like an HST except it’s more efficient and puts more power to the ground. You can electronically control both speed and rpm independently on the fly with knobs on the side console to achieve the perfect settings for whatever task you’re performing.

There is lever to left of the steering wheel to change directions just like a shuttle, a “gas pedal” to the right with auto throttle, brakes in the middle, and clutch to the left. However, the clutch is not required for operation.

Another plus is that the transmission is a cartridge style that’s is easy to remove from the tractor if it ever needs to be serviced or repaired rather than having to break the tractor in half.
