I'll take your word for it, but I'd wait a couple of days before I picked the one's in the picture. They might be a bit tart.

Edit: Nice cluster though. I'd love to have berries and plan to have them and grapes in my garden eventually.

The picture reminded me of the one in the Denton Record Chronicle this morning about the Duck Creek Blackberry Farm (pick your own) that I didn't know existed until I saw it in the newspaper. I'm not sure if it was because of a different variety of blackberry or being about 100 miles farther south, but my blackberries in Navarro County were always through for the year by the end of June. Mid-May to mid-June was my best time for blackberries.

We do We have had fresh blueberries in the garden for a while now. Yum

These are wild rasberries, the one in the middle is ripe enough. My kids ate til there bellies where full while I hogged the pasture.

we picked a few quatrs last weekend, and I ate soem fresh from the vines today. we have tons of them. good eating but they have a lot of seeds. looks like there will be a bumper crop of elderberries as well. the blackberries will be on in a few weeks or more but the raspberries are sure loaded this year...
