White tractor

I have a chance to get a White tractor, w/ a 38 mowing deck, 15 horse B&S for $450. Does this sound good. I have a John Deere 8 horse, 30 inch deck, but it is not powerful for what I'm doing. Anyone know about the White tractors rep. If you could help, it would be app. Thank you
( the tractor seems to be in good shape the guy told me its either a 1993 or a 1995).

You might want to post this on www.gardenweb.com tractor forum as well. If I'm not mistaken, I think the WHITE is yet another MTD variant with a bit more panache than the typical
MTD units.

If it's in excellent condition, it might be worth that? It all
depends on how much you plan on using it. With good care, folks can get some good service out of an MTD tractor.
