which cables

I want to lengthen my Lincoln 225 tombstone cables by 25 foot so I can have better reach but don't know what size to buy. Anybody know which AWG number to go with? Do these from cableyard look like a good deal? EP Welding Cable - Very Flexible

Problem with those welding charts is that they start at 100ft. I used 2 ga to extend my cables by 15' and haven't had a problem.

bought 50 foot of 2 ga. for 100 bucks I think it should do the trick...will sure be handy to not have to drag the welder around the place

The length in these charts gives the total length of cable. So. If you want an extra 25' distance from your welder that is 50' total. Not too hard to get up to the 100' total length.

Interesting. I wouldn't have read it that way. If I wanted to get 100' from my welder, I would have looked at the chart and figured for 100'. They need a foot note or something to clarify.
