Where do you get your Super UDT?

I would think that the simple answer should be a Kubota Dealer. Stopped at a Dealer today and was told that they don't stock it, nobody uses it, and they tried to sell me UDT. but can get Super UDT on special order if I insist.
Need it for 50 hr, change on L3130.
Did your Dealer have it in stock, or is it all special order?

I get my Super UDT equivalent from Chevron. Its 100% synthetic, its orange, its slightly cheaper. Its Chevron All Weather Hydraulic Fluid.

In anticipation for my 50 hr service some months ago, I went to my dealer to get SUDT. They said they had barrels of it. The guy handed me the invoice and I said, "Hmmm, that's pretty cheap for SUDT ... let me see it. He produced UDT. I said no thanks. I asked if he could order it. He said sure. Upon looking up the number to order it, his 'puter referenced back to the UDT number. I said thanks for nothing and left.
My dealer has another branch in another town nearby. I call them. They say sure we've got it by the barrel. I asked for him to go check and make sure it was SUDT. It was not. Same rest-of-the-story, different day. In anticipation of the next hydro service, I checked around for Chevron. The local Chevron dealer didn't even know what I was talking about. I finally checked the Kubota website for dealers within 100 miles from me and found a small one about 50 miles way out of my way. He gets all my money now.

I ordered mine on-line from Messick's where I bought my tractor. I have two Kubota dealer within 20 miles of me, and neither one carries Super UDT. ARGH!!

I've had some frustration with this site. Not only do they not have B3030 listed as a valid model, but I can't figure out how to look at lubricants. Searching for "UDT" yields no results.

They don't have our new L-39 TLB listed anywhere either, but that has not stopped us from purchasing oil filters, hydraulic filters, Super UDT hydraulic fluid, etc. etc. from them even when our dealer, who sold us the new 2005 model TLB, did not know what was for the L-39 he sold us...... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My dealer, Foote Tractor in Novi, MI has it in stock. I have seen post on TBN where a complaint was made to Kubota about a dealer not stocking Super UDT especially in a northern state. Dealer suddenly started to stock Super UDT. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Similar experiences here. However, after the Chevron guy said he didn't know what it was I asked him to order 5 gal. That was no problem for him and he gave me a call a couple of weeks later to tell me that it had arrived. Just as long as you have the full name of the fluid it doesn't seem to matter if your dealer knows of it or not...he can still order it.

I went to my Kubota dealer and he doesn't carry UDT or SUDT. He sold me "Premium UDT", which I used for 50 hour service on my B7800. I could see no change in performance from factory fluid, even in winter. It is clear color.
This is what is printed on the pail:

"Kubota Premium UDT Hydraulic / Transmission Fluid
70000 - 20007
For use in most tractor transmissions and hydraulic systems.
Compatible with wet disc brakes.
SPECIFICATIONS:
-EP/antiwear performance.
-Meets John Deere Spec. J20D.

Premium UDT is actually Petro Canada's Duratran. Which some claim is better that SUDT.

I put this in a thread about 60 days ago, but I went through the same thing with my local dealer when I tried to buy SUDT from them. They grudgingly ordered it for me, charged me an arm and two legs, and I got it a week later. I emailed Kubota, received an immediate call from their corporate offices, from a fluids engineer, who got upset when I told him what the dealer had said and done. Kubota sent me a free 5-gal. pail of SUDT for my trouble. This engineer also explained that most owners and dealer personnel are overlooking the warm weather benefits of SUDT and are simply looking at the cold weather advantages. In his words: "there are as many advantages and benefits for warm and hot weather operation, such as in CA, AZ, and other consistently warm/hot areas as there are for cooler regions". One of the big benefits is the special anti-foaming agents present in SUDT, needed for hot weather, which are far superior to UDT. The HST is protected far better w/SUDT, than without. I strongly recommend some of you guys email or call Kubota to verify what I've said on here before.

I've had great service ordering SUDT and Kubota filters from TracterSmart http://www.tractorsmart.com . My dealer does not stock SUDT either and talked me into UDT for my first change. I don't think it worked as smooth in winter and probably wont use it again.
