NH TC33D w/R4 Tires, Rear Remote, Hydraulic Toplink, 2 Auxiliary Work Lights, 7308 Loader w/Kasco Uni-Hitch (Quick Tach)
I just got my rear remote kit from NH today for my TC33D. I've been told it is much easier to install if you remove the rear tire first.

So where do I safely place a jack under my tractor?

Do I just want to lift the one tire off the ground or the whole rear end?

Should I place some wood or carpet between the jack and the tractor to protect the tractor?

I have attached a picture that shows the rear right side of my TC33D. If some of you can show me exactly the safest lift point for both me and my tractor I would appreciate it.

Right behind that oil filter, should work real well.

I agree with "beenthere". It's not really necessary to use a block of wood or carpet, but might prevent scratching the paint with the jack. But if you use something like a wooden block, just be very careful that it can't slip out and let the tractor fall.

Looks like the best spot, if you put it under the centerline it might tip once you tire is off of one side.

I was on my second job for hire a year after I bought my tractor when I realized my outer and inner rear wheel were getting divorced.

With no jack, I had to improvise, hooked chain to hook on opposite corner of bucket and then to tree, after aligning tractor to face tree but be just to the outside, backed up till traction was lost and then carefully raise loader, good tire and wheel were still on ground so I set parking brake and found bolt and nut in dirt/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif

95% don't go in /w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif? I need to come play your course. It must have one heck of a "slope" rating /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif!

I just changed my sig after hearing that from a sports guy on 760-WJR in Detroit, I took it as 5% of golfers dont take that stroke and /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gifed my butt off. Golf is about my 6th favorite thing to do in the summer.

Thanks for the input guys. I took another shot from the front looking back to get more clarification. When you said right behind the filter that would be the spot I have labeled "B" in the new picture. The first picture wasn't at a real good angle so I just wanted to show you the second shot to make sure I know what you are talking about. The axle labeled "A" looks like a reasonable spot to me but I am not sure, that is why I was asking in the first place.

<font color=blue>A <font color=black> 1will work too, but usually spot <font color=blue>B <font color=black> will be more within reach of a floor jack. If it is a big floor jack and reaches <font color=blue>A <font color=black> easier, then use it - no problem. Just watch that whatever you choose, you have good contact and the contact point can't slip off the jack pad. Block the other wheels and/or be sure the tractor won't move off the jack.
Great pics and labels, as it makes for easier discussion.

Here's a dumb thought... what does the owners manual say about jacking and lifting the tractor? /w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

This is something I need to look at myself, now that you mention it!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Gotcha /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. Until I get my tractor, golf is my #1 favorite thing to do in the summer /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif.
