Where can I find an aftermarket water temp gauge and sensor for my John Deere 670 compact? Local parts stores only carry ones that are standard fittings and being a yanmar 3cyl diesel its a metric fitting that goes into the water pump for the sensor. Found this TEMPERATURE GAUGE KIT - Sale!: Yanmar Tractor Parts but $38 with $12.99 shipping im scared if its not the right one! :)

Greetings. I wanted a way to check my MF temperature gauge. I went on ebay and purchased an in-line temp gauge adapter. This is a piece of pipe that you install in your top radiator hose with a threaded bung for a mechanical temperature gauge sending unit. I then went to www.dbelectrical.com and purchased a temperature gauge. Then mount the gauge in some out-of-the-way place so that it will not distract for the appearance of the tractor. Before installing gauge, double check its accuracy with a pot of water on your stove. You will need to know the diameter of your radiator hose. The total cost was about $40.
Hope this helps.
